Why volunteer
From greeting attendees to preparing food, handling our social media or even helping us fundraise, we need people for all kind of roles.
Why volunteer with us
People volunteer with us because:
- It’s fun
- It’s rewarding
- It helps people develop skills, knowledge and experience so helps them with their careers
- It contributes to the community
Our activities are unique and dynamic places to volunteer, where no two sessions are the same.
What our volunteers say
“The Trust supports its volunteers. Firstly, by making them feel welcome, part of a team and that’s very rewarding for people who are volunteering here. The trust also provides training, which is a good thing.”

For safeguarding reasons, volunteers working with our participants may need to undertake a DBS check. If you have a criminal record in the UK or abroad, you will need to declare any and all offences but they will not necessarily prevent you from volunteering.
