Stuart Low Trust provides a diverse range of Arts programmes to provide opportunities for exploration and expression. These programmes are specifically designed to encourage creativity, the broadening of horizons, to build confidence and to increase mental wellbeing through feelings of ‘connectedness’, to the inner self, and the external world.

Material World

In May 2022, SLT partnered with National Youth Theatre to pilot a new Arts project “Material World”.  This project was specifically for young people aged 18-35, living with mental health issues or learning disabilities. Over a course of 6 weeks, participants learned about and explored the fashion of the Jubilee years, and key moments in theatre history. Upcycling theatre textiles, they created new works culminating in a showcase of their creations to commemorate the Arts during the Queen’s Jubilee.
