Friday Evening Events at SLT

We are delighted that our face-to-face Friday Evening Events are back. From April 2023, these will take place on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, 6.30-8.45pm. These will take place at our lovely new venue and home, Jean Stokes Community Centre, just off Caledonian Road. No booking necessary! Just turn up! Last entry 7pm!

What to expect:

All SLT’s friendly staff team will be there running Friday evening activities and we have a great array of presenters and performers on the schedule to keep you entertained! From Music and Comedy, to History and Health, there is something for everyone. Enjoy the entertainment, connect with the community, meet new people, have fun!

We will have face-to-face safety measures for our new home, and number indoors will remain limited, so make sure you get there on time! Your safety matters to us!

Schedule of the Evening:

6.30pm – Doors open, tea and coffee

7pm – Refreshments and Sandwiches

7.30pm – Performance / Presentation

8.45pm – End

Do I need to book?

From December 2022, we are operating a no booking policy for our Friday evening events, and welcome ‘drop ins’. This policy will be kept under rolling review to ensure we have sufficient health and safety measures in place to keep all our participants, volunteers and staff safe.

Jean Stokes Community Centre is located around 50m to the west of Caledonian Road and a short walk from Caledonian Road and Barnsbury Station. It is well served by public transport. No onsite parking is available.

About Jean Stokes Community Centre

No smoking policy: Smoking is prohibited in and around the building. If you wish to smoke, you may exit the building and cross over to the other side of the road. This is to be respectful to other participants, and the residents of the surrounding area. Thank you for your cooperation.

The building is fully accessible with a permanent ramp to the entrance.
