Katie Stokes
Katie is a fundraising professional with nine years of experience working within international charities. Her interest in mental health was strengthened when she returned to university to study an MSc in Psychology. Her dissertation, about how the COVID-19 pandemic affected the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ adults in the UK, won the BiGS Lynne Segal Prize. She has previously volunteered as a phone befriender in her local London borough, and was thrilled to be able to bring her passions for mental health and supporting the London community, to the Stuart Low Trust.
Katie is a keen reader, enjoys learning Spanish in her free time, and frequently travels back to her home country of Wales, to enjoy the countryside and to spend time with her family.
